TUNAR

Summary: This gene produces a spliced long non-coding RNA that may play a role in maintaining pluripotency and the neural differentiation of embryonic stem cells. Expression of this lncRNA in the caudate nucleus of brains from Huntington's Disease patients has been found to decrease as the disease progresses. It has also been suggested that this transcript may play a role in the progression of breast cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015].
